PROJECT: DO A BIT (The Volunteer Centre Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde initiated project supported by NESTA with funds from the Cabinet Office)

ROLE: Project Officer        CONTEXT: Responsive Web Project (mobile and desktop)         DATE: July 2013 - January 2014          PLATFORMS: Custom Build

TECHNOLOGY USED: PHP, JQUERY, AJAX, HTML, CSS, PHOTOSHOP, JAVA

OUTCOME: Large development project that needed quick implementation in order to be delivered on time and in budget. I joined the project a few months after the start date and quickly produced a set of tools that allowed volunteering activity to be recorded digitally in the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde area. This project was fantastic as the level of additional support provided though NESTA combined with networking events and meetups was world class. The team at the volunteer centre showed me a different way of working at a professional level and the care and diligence to ensure that their volunteers have a positive experience in the local community.
